LEMON – nature’s best DEODORANT (how to use it)

There are two main types of products that fight sweating: deodorants (that mask the odors) and antiperspirants (which stop the sweating). Both are hazardous for health, but the latter are the most dangerous.

According to a recent german study, published in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science, roll-on and stick antiperspirants can last for 24 or even 48 hours.

Their effect is so powerful that they pass even the test of stress, high temperatures and intense physical effort. Have you wondered why is that?

The answer is simple: the substances they contain won’t stay on the surface of the skin, but enter the body. More precisely, their efficiency is due to the aluminium content, a chemical that penetrates the skin barrier, enters the sweat glands and blocks the process of perspiration.

Our bodies recieve daily a strong infusion of substances that can cause toxicity, allergies and even cancer: aluminium, triclosan, parabens, formaldehyde, steareats, synthetic perfumes.

Knowing this, we should opt for a more natural product that can still be efficient but risk free. The best natural deodorants are alum crystal deodorants, baking soda, coconut oil and lemon.

How to use lemon as a deodorant

Slice a lemon or cut it in small pieces. Rub the skin on the armpits with the juicy surface of the lemon and let the juice enter the skin. The sweat odor will disappear in the presence of lemon juice.

Do not apply the juice on freshly shaved skin because it will burn or irritate your armpits.

Don’t use lemon juice bought from the store, because it will not work. Use only fresh lemon.
