Wasabi, Honey and Peppermint Tea for Dust Allergies

The dust allergy has symptoms similar to a cold. It features watery and itchy eyes, sneezing and a runny nose. The dust allergy is triggered by the dust mites and sometimes it can be quite serious. Peppermint Tea

A very useful home remedy for dust allergies is the peppermint tea. This is a natural antibacterial and anti-inflammatory agent and it contains an essential oil that will offer relief from cold or allergies due to its decongestant qualities. Prepare a peppermint tea with boiling water and dried peppermint leaves and let it steep for a couple of minutes. Let it cool and then drink the tea several times per day for better results.

Wasabi

You don’t always hear about wasabi as a home remedy, yet this ingredient is rich in allyl isothiocyanate, a substance that stimulates the mucus flow.  Wasabi is included in the horseradish family and it has numerous health benefits. A wasabi spoon will not only control the sneezing, but will also boost the immunity. You can also use the simple horseradish. Grate it and then take ¼ teaspoon when you feel the allergy symptoms.

Fresh Vegetables and Fruits

Broccoli, tomatoes, grapefruits, apples, onions and red grapes are rich in quercetin, a flavonoid that controls the allergic attacks and it is used in numerous medications. If you suffer from an allergic reaction, you must immediately take a bite of a tomato or an apple. The quercetin is in fact an antihistamine that controls the swelling, the rashes, the itching and the sneezing. So, it will reduce the inflammation and will offer relief from the allergic reactions.

Honey

The allergic symptoms can also be eased by taking one or two teaspoons of honey. This natural remedy is effective in curing the allergy attacks and the common colds. Immediately after consuming the honey, the sneezing should stop. You can also use a cotton ball and soak it in honey. After that, use it to dab on the blisters and rashes on your body. The honey will reduce the inflammation and the swelling and will also prevent the marks from forming.

Apple Cider Vinegar

The dust allergies can effectively be treated with apple cider vinegar. This ingredient cleanses the lymphatic system of the body and it also diminishes the mucus production. It also comes with numerous other health benefits such as boosting the metabolism and aiding the digestion. Mix water (1 glass) with apple cider vinegar (one teaspoon) and consume this beverage three times per day. The apple cider vinegar is a tonic that will not only treat the allergy symptoms, but will also prevent the recurrent attacks.
