Dandelion and Birch Bark Tea

Ingredients:
- Birch leaf – 2 teaspoons or Birch bark – 1 teaspoon
- Dandelion root – 1 teaspoon
- Crushed juniper berry – 1 teaspoon
- Fresh ginger root – 2 grated slices
Preparation: mix some water with the plants and herbs, but make sure not to heat it too much because the volatile oils in the birch will evaporate. So, don’t let it boil. Let it steep and then allow it to cool so as to drink it.
Safflower Oil Ointment
This ointment is extremely beneficial for the dry skin and for the eczema. The safflower oil and the calendula flowers have healing and antibacterial properties and can speed up the recovery process. Turmeric is also beneficial in treating the inflammation.
Ingredients:
- Turmeric oil – 75 drops
- Emulsifying wax – 3 tablespoons
- Safflower oil and calendula flowers – 2/3 cup
Preparation: infuse the safflower oil with the dried calendula flowers for about 14 days. After that, heat this oil and add the wax until it’s melted. Pour this solution in a glass jar and while it’s still warm, you can add the turmeric oil. If you want the ointment to be scented, you can add some essential oil drops. Store it in a cool place and apply it several times per day.
Skin Treatment with Vitamin E and Coconut
This healthy body butter must be made with pure organic coconut oil so as to obtain the best results. With this treatment, you will get relief from itching and inflammation and you will also restore your irritated and dry skin.
Ingredients:
- Vitamin E oil – 1 teaspoon
- Coconut oil – 4 tablespoons
- Chamomile oil – 5 drops
- Sage – 2 drops
Preparation: warm the coconut oil in a pot and wait until it becomes softer in texture. Add the vitamin E and the essential oils and mix all these 3 ingredients together using a fork. Store the ointment in a cool and dark place, but not in the refrigerator because it will become rock hard and you won’t be able to apply it anymore. Place in the pantry to keep that creamy consistency. Apply this treatment on your affected skin daily for several days to get rid of the eczema. Repeat the preparation process if necessary.
