How to Treat Hernia at Home with Natural Remedies

  • Chamomile Tea

You will need a cup of water and a teaspoon of chamomile. You can usually buy dried chamomile, but if you have fresh chamomile in your backyard, this is even better. Put the water in a small pot, and bring it to a boiling point. After this, add the flowers and the tea should sit for a few minutes (5 – 7). Then, you can strain it. For hernia, you have to drink four cups of chamomile tea per day.

  • Cinnamon Tea

Besides its unique flavor that makes it such a loved ingredient for desserts, this aromatic bark is also used as a natural remedy. Cinnamon has incredible health benefits, as it is an extraordinary antioxidant, and it has anti-inflammatory proprieties. Furthermore, this remedy is very efficient in reducing pain and calming the stomach. Not to mention that it acts as a great booster for the immune system.

Cinnamon tea is recommended for those who suffer from hernia. You will benefit from its proprieties, but also enjoy a delicious, flavored tea. Boil a cup of water and then add a cinnamon stick to it. Reduce the heat and simmer for three minutes. After this, turn off the heat and let the tea stand for another five minutes. Then strain it and enjoy your tea. You are advised to drink three cups of cinnamon tea daily for hernia.

  • Ice

You can successfully use ice to reduce the pain provoked by a hernia. Put some ice in a thin cotton towel and apply it on the affected area for maximum 15 minutes. After this, make a pause of at least 45 minutes. Then, you can repeat the procedure. This will ease the pain as it calms the irritated nerves and numbs the area.
