The problem is that this usually results in body odor and it puts you in an embarrassing situation, especially when you are in a meeting, at a job interview, date, etc. If deodorants can help you to keep your underarms odor under control, having your upper lips or palms of hands always sweaty is still uncomfortable and sometimes upsetting.

But you can help your body reduce sweating naturally by trying the following natural remedies.

Apple Cider Vinegar

The most effective natural remedy for sweating is apple cider vinegar. Besides solving the problem, it is also a very affordable cure, and it can be applied to any part of your body. Some care products cannot be used on your face, for instance, but apple cider vinegar has no side effects. In fact, this is a food ingredient, which means that you can consume it in your food and will cause no harm to your body.

If you want to keep your armpits, hands, soles of feet or upper lips sweat free, don’t hesitate to use this excellent natural remedy. Its antibacterial proprieties are given by the high content of acetic acids, which clear off any infection or bacteria.

How to use it: First of all, clean the area with water and soap, to make sure that the skin has no dirt or oil. Then, take a cotton ball and soak it in apple cider vinegar and rub it on targeted area before you go to bed. In the morning, wash again and apply deodorant.

If you want to use this remedy on the face, clean the skin, rub it with a cotton ball soaked in apple cider vinegar and then wash it off with cold water.

Baking Soda

Another natural remedy used to cure sweating is baking soda. First and foremost, this is alkaline, while the sweat produced by our body is acidic. When combined, these two form a gas, which leads to the evaporation of the sweat.  However, it is recommended to use this natural remedy for a couple of days in a row, to achieve best results.

How to use it: In a big bowl, put baking soda, and then pour hot or warm water. Mix the solution thoroughly and soak the part of the body you want to heal from excessive sweating into this for about 20 minutes. If this is impossible, put a compress on the skin and let it there for the same amount of time. Then, just dry the area with a towel.

Sage

Sage is a herb rich in vitamin B and magnesium. Both of these nutrients help the body reduce the activity of sweat glands. Sage is famous for its effectiveness especially in the case of night sweats.

How to use it: prepare a tea from the sage plant and drink it daily, or take sage supplements. The recommended dosage is 400-500 mg, but you can also ask for the advice of your doctor.

  1. I have read so many articles on this but none of them address the problem of head sweating. When I sweat I look like the picture above…it all comes running down my face. What can be done about this? My mother was the same way. No article ever seems to address it …. it is very embarrassing.
