Remember these following hacks the next time you come across them:

  • Reduce Hiccups by Drinking Upside Down

It may sound weird, but it’s actually an efficient way to get rid of those nasty hiccups. Just take a glass of water, bend your waist until your head is down and drink from the glass. It will reduce carbon dioxide levels in your bloodstream, which is the cause of your hiccups.

  • Suppress a Yawn with Cool Water

Water rejuvenates the body and it will suppress that intense desire to start yawning during a boring class which might as well get you a detention. Just sip slowly from the water and let your body catch life.

  • Stop Tears by Holding Your Eyes Open

This hack becomes rather convenient if you don’t want to start crying in the middle of the street. By not blinking, you will prevent moist from forming in your eyes, thus, you won’t be crying anymore.

  • Sleeping on Your Left Prevents Acid Reflux

By sleeping on your left side, you will keep your esophagus higher that your stomach, preventing the stomach acid from going back into your throat. You can also chew some gum after you eat to prevent the reflux.

  • Scratch Your Ear If Your Throat Starts Tickling

Lucky for you, you won’t have to shove your fingers down your throat to scratch if it suddenly starts itching. Instead, you’ll just have to scratch the back of your ear. It will create a reflex that goes down to your throat, bringing relief to that annoying tickle.

  • Acupressure Offers Relief From Nausea

Locate the P6 (Pericardium) point between the tendons on the inside of your wrist, and press it for a few minutes as many times as it’s needed.

  • Reduce Eyestrain with the 20-20-20 Rule

If you’re stuck in front of your computer all day, try this: every 20 minutes, look for 20 seconds at something located 20 feet away. Your eyes won’t have to work hard to focus, making it easier for them to concentrate.

  • Say No To Bad Moods By Keeping a Pencil in Your Mouth

Since taking it out on those who put you in the bad mood is immoral (not to mention illegal), you should try to suppress your bad mood by putting a pencil in your mouth. It activates the smiling muscles and you’ll see that you will soon feel better.

Try these life hacks for yourself and see if they work for you. They might sound a little awkward, but experience tells us that they are indeed useful. Try and see if you can confirm these statements!
