Studies have also shown that olive leaves help prevent osteoporosis by increasing the pace at which bone cells develop. They also prevent cancer by having an anti-melanoma effect. Studies have been conducted on mice. The tumor volume was reduced in mice with late phase tumors. Other studies have discovered that olive leaves have protective properties against breast cancer. It showed an inhibition in the development of cancerous cells at an early stage.
