You will not only have a soft skin, as the sea salt will also eliminate the toxins from the skin, open the pores, stimulate cell growth and improve circulation. Sea salt comes from the ocean and it is incredibly healthy. It contains a wide array of minerals and it’s known for its relaxing and soothing properties.

Natural Sea Salt Body Scrubs – Recipes

Below, you will see two scrub recipes containing sea salt. They also contain various other natural ingredients, such as citrus zest, olive oil, coconut milk or coconut oil. Coconut oil and olive oil are extremely hydrating and they will instantly moisturize the skin, by penetrating it deeply. These 2 oils come with anti-aging and skin-softening properties. At the same time, olive oil is beneficial in removing blemishes and making the skin glowing. In addition, coconut oil fights against microbial infections and premature aging.

On the other hand, the coconut milk is rich in nutrients and fats and can immediately hydrate and nourish the skin. It helps eliminate the excess sebum and dirt and cleans the pores. Last, but not least, the citrus zest has a refreshing smell and will brighten and lighten the skin.

Sea Salt Body Scrub – Recipe 1

– Fine-textured sea salt (1 cup)

– 1 ½ Coconut oil (extra-virgin)

– Coconut milk (4 tablespoons)

You will also need mixing bowls and spoons and a container for keeping the scrub. Put all the sea salt in the bowl and then add the coconut oil that you have previously melted. Mix well and, after that, add the coconut milk. Make sure the coconut milk is unsweetened and organic. Stir well to obtain a homogeneous paste and put the natural scrub in your container.

This body scrub is extremely simple to use. Apply it all over your body and rub gently with circular motions. Let it cure for a couple of minutes. After that, cleanse it with a hot shower. Don’t use it more than 1 – 2 times per week.

Sea Salt Body Scrub – Recipe 2

– Fine-textured sea salt (1/2 cup)

– Olive oil (1/2 cup)

– A lemon, lime, orange or another citrus fruit

For this recipe, you must mix the sea salt with the olive oil. Make sure it’s an extra-virgin olive oil. Use some apple cider vinegar to wash the citrus fruit. After that, grate it into a separate bowl and use 1 teaspoon of it to add to your initial mixture. Stir well and put the freshly-obtained scrub into a container.

Use this natural body scrub before taking a shower. Remember that sea salt is pretty abrasive, so don’t scrub too hard. Use circular motions and rub gently. Leave it on for a couple of minutes and after that take a shower to cleanse the scrub off your body. After the skin is dry, you can use a body lotion to moisturize it and keep it hydrated. Use this body scrub 1 time per week.
