Anti-Cold Tonic – Recipe

In order to prepare this tonic, you will need 400 grams of freshly crushed garlic, chopped onion, grated ginger root, grated horseradish and chopped chili peppers. The quantity can be larger or smaller, depending on how much tonic you wish to prepare. Use gloves when chopping and mixing the vegetables because most of them are chili and spicy and can cause itching and irritations. Avoid the contact with the eyes, nose or mouth.

Fill ¾ of a jar with the vegetable mixture and pour apple cider vinegar over them until the jar is full. Close with a lid and stir. Let the vegetables soak for about 2 weeks, stirring the jar at least once a day.

After those 2 weeks, you can strain the product using a piece of gauze cloth or a strainer. Put the solution in a clean jar.

Keep the tonic in the refrigerator or in another cold and dark place in the house. Thanks to the apple cider vinegar, it can be kept for a couple of months.

Administration

Take 15 – 30 ml of the solution 2 – 3 times per day. Gargle for a few minutes and after that you can swallow the product. If you find it too strong to drink it as it is, you can always use it as a salad dressing.

This tonic will act as an excellent remedy against colds and their symptoms. Moreover, it will strengthen the organism, helping it fight against diseases and speeding the healing process.

Another alternative is to mix all these ingredients included in this recipe and make a salad that you can consume as such or as a garnish for steaks and other dishes.
