Homemade Remedies That Will Make Your Life Easier

Many times we have in our homes everything we need to relieve pain, nasal congestion, a stiff neck or to prepare beauty products. Why spend money on products full of chemicals and other harmful ingredients, when we can prepare home remedies that are natural and so easy to make?

  • Pain

If you want to relieve pain, you can use caffeine. It can distract the body from feeling the pain. So whenever you have a headache or muscular pain drink coffee, tea, soft drinks or eat some chocolate.

Fish oil is rich in Omega-3 fatty acids which can reduce pain and stiffness. Eat tuna, halibut or salmon, which are high in Omega-3 or you can consume flax seeds which have the same properties of reducing the pain.

  • Beauty Products

High-quality beauty products can be expensive, and not always efficient. You can make your self-tanner by mixing you favorite body lotion with cocoa powder. Spread the mixture onto the skin, but do not leave it for more than 15 minutes.

You can also make a lip balm by mixing 1 ½ tablespoon of strawberry juice with three tablespoons of petroleum jelly.

  • Strengthen your Heart

Green tea improves the functioning of blood vessels, brain function and prevents the development of certain types of cancer.

Garlic is widely used as an ingredient in various dishes, but it also has medical uses. Consume it every day, and it will normalize blood pressure and prevent lung cancer, heart damage, prostate cancer, brain cancer and much more.

  • Nasal Congestion

Not being able to breathe easily is really annoying. Spicy foods improve mucous flow in the nasal passages.

Hot tomato juice is another effective remedy. Boil a tablespoon of diced garlic with a cup of tomato juice, a tablespoon of hot sauce, a tablespoon of lemon juice and a pinch of salt and consume this whenever you want to get rid of the nasal congestion.

  • Stiff Neck

You can relieve muscle contraction by sipping warm turmeric and cinnamon tea. Another solution is to cook the herb called St. John’s Wort and apply it on the affected area as a warm compress.

  • Bruises

Wrap several ice cubes in a cloth and press them on the affected area for 30 minutes. They will reduce swelling and bruising. Aloe Vera is renowned for its healing properties, especially in cuts, sunburns, scrapes and bruises. The gel also seals the broken blood vessels from bacteria and dirt. Bruises sometimes take weeks to disappear naturally, but by using these remedies, you will reduce that time by 50%.

  • Chapped Lips

By simply applying a small amount of olive oil or coconut oil on your lips, and reapplying it as often as you need, you will prevent chapped lips. You can also rub cucumber on your chapped lips, which will soothe the dryness and keep your lips hydrated.

  • Urinary Tract Infection

Urinary tract infections are sometimes tough to treat. But fresh coconut juice does a fantastic job in cleansing the body and eliminating bacteria. Apple cider vinegar is another powerful remedy, which works as a natural antibiotic. It also contains many minerals that prevent bacteria from spreading. Mix two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with water and drink the solution twice a day.
