Homemade Body Scrubs

There are numerous homemade products and ingredients that can be used as body scrubs to make you feel like in a luxurious spa. The recipes below are easy to make and incredibly affordable.

Homemade Body Scrubs

Honey and Milk Body Scrub

Ingredients

– Raw milk (1/4 cup)

– Sugar (1/2 cup)

– Honey (2 tablespoons)

– Sweet almond oil (5 tablespoons)

Mix the raw milk with the sugar, sweet almond oil and honey. Use this scrub all over you body to eliminate the dead skin cells. Use it immediately after you have prepared it because it contains only fresh ingredients.

Citrus and Vanilla Body Scrub

Ingredients

– Sugar (1 cup)

– Pure vanilla essence or extract (1 teaspoon)

– Sweet almond oil (1 – 3 tablespoons)

– Honey (1 tablespoon)

– Essential citrus oil (6 – 8 drops)

– Glycerine (2 tablespoons)

Mix all the above ingredients and make sure you stir well until you get an homogeneous paste. Keep the mixture in a tightly closed jar in a dry and cool place. You will only need a small amount of the scrub to massage your skin. For better effects, use it under the shower or in the bath.

Coffee Scrub

Besides the fact that this scrub is extremely efficient, it also has a great scent. Soon, it will become your newest addiction.

Ingredients

– ½ cup of coarsely ground coffee

– Sweet almond oil or olive oil (2 tablespoons)

– ½ cup of sugar granules

Similar to the other recipes, you will have to mix all these ingredients until you obtain an homogeneous scrub. Massage your body with this natural product after you have taken a shower or a bath.

Things to Remember

– Using organic or natural ingredients is a must to make the scrub efficient.

– Don’t forget to moisture your skin with a nourishing cream after performing the scrubbing.

– Always prepare a fresh scrub before using it.

– Don’t rub too hard, but massage the skin gently using one of these homemade scrubs.

– Use the scrubs during the bath/shower or after. Don’t use them once the skin has dried out, because they will have no effect and even harm your skin.
