Remedies that Help You Treat Gum Disease

Fortunately for those out there who don’t seek the proper therapy, there are some treatments that can help them treat their condition. Here are 8 remedies one can use to treat gum disease:

  • Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera has always been known for its properties, aiding in soothing the swollen gums and helping with the bleeding. The only thing you need to do is take some Aloe Vera gel and rub it on your gums. Let the gel do its job, and if you continue with this treatment, you are bound to feel the difference.

  • Baking Soda

Make a thick paste out of some baking soda and water, and apply it on your gums, rubbing carefully.

  • Tea Tree Oil

Due to its antiseptic properties, tea tree oil can help treat the symptoms of gum disease. Just rub a tiny amount on your gums and you will notice the difference.

  • Lemon Juice

Lemon juice is a wonder remedy for most diseases out there. It has anti-inflammatory properties that can help treat any sort of gum infection, and due to the fact that it’s rich in Vitamin C, it gives strength to the gums and relieves them of any remains of the disease. Make a paste out of lemon juice and some salt, and apply it on your teeth. You’ll see the difference.

  • Clove Oil

This also helps in treating bleeding gums. Once applied to your gums, you might experience a slight discomfort in the form of burning, but it will soon pass.

  • Turmeric

It is also anti-inflammatory, reducing the swelling from your gums. Make a thick paste out of honey and turmeric powder and apply on your gums, leaving it 3 minutes to take effect.

  • Mustard Oil

This ingredient is rich in vitamins and has great antioxidant properties. Just run some oil between your fingers and apply it to the gums. You will see the difference.

  • Coconut Oil

This ingredient is known for its anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties and it protects the gums against gingivitis. Weekly oil pulling will help you get rid of your gingivitis problem.

While it is very easy to ignore some symptoms because it’s convenient or you might not consider them “grave enough”, gingivitis is dangerous and, if left untreated, it won’t be good at all for your health. By using the treatments above, you can treat your gum disease without worrying about complications.
