5 Natural Rosehip Remedies for the Cold Season

The fruit of this plant is the most nutritious part of it. The right time for picking it is after the flowers fall off. The color may vary from red to purple and sometimes even black. Due to their excellent health properties, rosehips have become common all over the world.

Rosehips contain many important and healthy substances that boost the immunity. They are rich in vitamins and they provide the body with vitamin A, K and a part of the B-vitamin complex. Use: Drink one cup in the morning and one cup in the evening for two weeks.

It’s good for preventing respiratory tract infections, such as viral and bacterial bronchitis, pneumonia, sinusitis, rhinitis or pulmonary conditions.

Use: Take one teaspoon of rosehip powder, 4 times a day for 3 to 4 weeks.

Use: Eat 3 or 4 tablespoons per day, for at least one month.

In a glass jar, mix one tablespoon of rosehip powder and 2 teaspoons of rosemary powder. Pour over the ingredients 200 ml of 70-degree alcohol. Close the jar and leave the ingredients to soak for 10 days. Shake the mix 3 or 4 times per day. After the 10-day period, strain the mix and leave it another 6 days for decantation.

Use: Dissolve 20-30 drops of the mixture in a glass of water and drink it. Repeat the procedure 2 or 3 times per day, before each meal, during the cold season.

  • Treat urinary tract infections

In a pot, add 500 ml of water and 4 tablespoons of dried and split rosehip, and let them boil for half an hour. Strain the liquid through a gauze while it’s still hot. Sweeten the liquid with honey.

Use: Drink half a liter per day, until noon, for 2 weeks. Take a 2-week break, then repeat the treatment.
