New Raw Recipe for the Hot Summer Days
The summer days can become a torture if we don’t know how to fight against the heat and we don’t want that, do we? Let’s enjoy the beauty of the summer with a new raw recipe which will change the unbearable into refreshing energy.
From India, we will bring you the most refreshing drink made from boiled mangoes, a drink that is raw and full of energy and it’s named “aam panna”. Rich in calcium, vitamins A and C, magnesium, phosporus and potassium, this drink will eliminate your thirst and, at the same time, will help you stay hydrated. We believe that this is the perfect combination!
To keep the raw path, we will substitute the sugar in this drink with jaggery or gur. If you don’t like that taste of jaggery, you can always add sugar, it all depends on your taste. The first information you will need to know about the preparation of this drink is that 1:2 means the ratio of mango pulp to jaggery or sugar.
To start making this recipe, you will need: cumin seeds, mint leaves and black salt. This combination will help your digestion and will cool down your body and, at the same time, your drink will have a great flavor thanks to the black salt.

- 4 green mangoes
- Mint leaves
- Black salt
- Cumin seeds that are roasted
- Blender
- Measuring spoons and cups

Preparation
You will have to boil the raw mangoes and then peel them off. Take out the seeds and put the pulp in a bowl. Then, cut some jaggery, just enough for your taste. Put the pulp of the raw mangoes into the blender, and then add jaggery, just about 1 or 1½. Wash the amount of mint leaves that you want to use and add it to the blender. You can also add 1 tablespoon of cumin seeds and black salt, just about 2 teaspoons. Now the magic happens! Blend the mix for a couple of minutes. At the end, the consistency should be smooth.
Remember the container or bottle that we told you about in the beginning? Now it’s the time to use it. Put the mixture in it and keep it in the fridge. To consume it, you must put 2 tablespoons of this mix in a glass and then add cool water. If you want the drink to be cooler than it already is, you can add some ice cubes.
