  1. Canker Sores

Saline solutions are commonly used in medicine for their antibacterial properties; this makes them a proven, cheap and effective mouthwash. A tablespoon of Himalayan salt to a cup of water after every meal, used as a regular mouthwash, will kill the harmful bacteria.

  1. Sore Throat

You can calm your sore throat by using a combination of salt, pepper and lemons. Proportions are as follows: 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1/2 a teaspoon of black pepper and 1 teaspoon of sea salt mixed in a glass a warm water. Gargle several times a day.

  1. Stuffy nose

Create a powder using equal amounts of black pepper, cardamom seeds, cumin and cinamon in a pestle. Slowly smell the result and let yourself sneeze! This will clear your nose.

  1. Weight loss

Mixing 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, 1 tablespoon of honey and ½ teaspoon of pepper in a glass of warm water will help you boost your metabolism. Drink this every morning on an empty stomach and consume plenty of regular water during the day.

  1. Asthma

If asthma is a condition for someone in your family, you can have this mixture ready. Boil a cup of water, add some basil leaves (15 should be enough), add 2 clove buds, 10 grains of pepper and let it below boiling point for 15 minutes. Keep it refrigerated afterwards and consume as needed.

  1. Flu and Cold Symptoms

Squeeze half a lemon in a cup of boiling water and let the fruit stand in it for around 10 minutes afterwards. Add a teaspoon of honey and drink as needed, until you see an improvement.

  1. Toothache

Mix ½ of clove oil and the same amount of pepper. Apply the mixture on the problematic tooth and let it sit for a few minutes.

  1. Nosebleed

A cotton ball with a small amount of lemon juice kept in your nostril is a safe bet. After a few minutes, the bleeding should end.

  1. Nausea

If your stomach is problematic, mix 1 tablespoon of lemon juice with 1 teaspoon of black pepper into a glass of warm water. Drink it slowly and your symptoms should calm down.

  1. Remove gallstones

Use a solution of 3 parts olive oil and 1 part lemon and black pepper each to eliminate stones that can form in your gallbladder.

If there’s one thing to remember, it’s that natural remedies do not necessarily mean rare, inaccessible solutions. There are many everyday items with impressive medicinal properties, waiting to improve your life in ways you may have not expected before.
