LEMON diet – how to lose WEIGHT with LEMON
Lemon is one of the most popular ingredients in weight loss diets. A glass of lemon water in the morning can do wonders for our body, according to many health experts.
Lemon water is not beneficial only for shedding pounds, but also for a better cell oxygenation, a better digestion, better alkalizing and blood vessels protection.
Lemon diet for weight loss
There are many lemon recipes for detox and weight loss. Phytotherapist Constantin Milica at University of Agronomy in Romania recommends a lemon juice 19 days diet.
The amount of juice consumed will gradually increase with 1 lemon a day during the cure.
Day 1:
Squeeze one lemon and mix the juice with fresh water in a 1:5 proportion.
Day 2:
Drink the juice of 2 lemons, mixed with 5 parts water.
Day 3:
Drink the juice of 3 lemons, mixed with 5 parts water.
Continue the treatment following this scheme until the tenth day.
Day 10:
Drink the juice of 10 lemons.
From day 11 start reducing the amount with 1 lemon a day, until you reach 1 lemon a day once again.
Drink the fresh lemonade on empty stomach, or between the meals, for best results. You can also add a little bit of honey for taste and added nutrients.

Professor Constantin Milica recommends another method of using lemon for weight loss, in association with chamomile tea.
Heat one cup of water and put it in a jar. Add 1 teaspoon chamomile flowers. Slice 1 lemon and add it to the jar. Mix and leave it to infuse over the night. Do this in the evening.
The second day, strain the liquid, sqeezing the lemon slices to get aut all the juice.
Drink this infusion on empty stomach. You can reheat it a little bit (without boiling it).
Use organic lemons if you want to use the rind. Or wash them with a baking soda water solution to remove pesticides.
