How Can We Use Potatoes for the Skin
1. Dry Skin
There are various methods to prepare this face mask. You can use raw potato (grated and applied directly on the face) or boiled with milk.
Boil 1 potato with the peel, remove the peel afterwards and mash it. Mix it with a little bit of milk and apply the paste on the face and neck. Let it cure for about 20 minutes, then rinse off with warm water.
Another way to use it is cutting 1 potato in slices and letting it boil in 150 ml of milk. Apply it on the face and leave it on for about 15 – 20 minutes.
2. Dark Circles
Peel one potato and cut it in large slices. Wrap it in a piece of cheesecloth and apply the slices on the closed eyes for 15 – 20 minutes. Rinse with water. Repeat this procedure daily until the dark circles are removed. You can also apply potato juice on your dark circles using a cotton ball.
The potato is considered a natural anti-aging agent and it’s extremely efficient in eliminating wrinkles. If you apply potato juice regularly on your wrinkles, you will have a shinier and smoother skin.
Grate or smash a raw potato in a blender and apply the paste on the face. Massage the skin gently and then rub for about 5 minutes. At the end, rinse off with clean water.
Use potato juice as a daily face cleanser. This is a very simple method to obtain a clean and blemish-free skin. You can mix the potato juice with cucumber juice and 1 teaspoon of baking soda.
