  • Vodka

Vodka or another strong alcohol you have in the house may help you to eliminate an annoying toothache. We have to mention that this is a remedy only to be used by adults. A strong alcohol will act upon the affected area similar to an anesthetic.

How to use it: take a cotton ball and put some vodka on it. It is even more efficient if you soak the whole cotton ball into vodka. Then, take it out and put it on the tooth responsible for the nasty ache. Don’t be afraid to touch the gums or another tooth, in fact, vodka is made for drinking. Another way of using vodka or alcohol when dealing with a strong toothache is to take a sip and keep it into your mouth, in the area of the cavity.

  • Salt and pepper

Both of them have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory proprieties. Moreover, they can be used as analgesics. All these attributes make them a great ally when you have to handle with a toothache.

How to use them: mix a teaspoon of salt, a teaspoon of pepper and a few drops of water. You will obtain a paste that you have to apply to the affected tooth and area.

  • Peppermint tea bags

A peppermint tea bag is a milder solution for your gums, but also a great remedy for a toothache, as it relieves the pain and numbs the area.

How to use it: Take a used peppermint tea bag and cool it down in the fridge or take a new one and soak it in cold water for about a minute. Then, put it on the affected area.
