Papaya and Pineapple for Feet Corns
Contents
Corns are the small pieces of thickened and hard skin that appear because of too much friction or pressure on the skin. They usually develop on the toes or on your feet’s soles. Wearing ill-fitting shoes such as high heels or tight shoes is the main cause for the apparition of corns. They can also be caused by sports activities that request the feet too much or put pressure on them. Moreover, individuals who suffer from warts, scars, hammertoes or bunions on their feet or those who have diabetes are more prone to develop corns. Corns can be incredibly uncomfortable when walking or standing, so you must get rid of them as soon as possible and you can do so by using the following home remedies.
White Vinegar
This remedy has been tested and has been found extremely useful and efficient. The white vinegar has high acidity and can remove the hard skin. At the same time, it comes with antibacterial and antifungal properties. Mix some water (3 parts) with white vinegar (1 part) and apply this solution on your corn with a cotton ball. Put an adhesive bandage over it and let it cure overnight. In the morning, you can use a pumice stone to exfoliate the skin. Moisturize the area with coconut or olive oil. Repeat the remedy one time per day until the corn disappears.
Lemon
In order to cure the corns on your feet, you can also use lemon. This fruit contains citrus acid and it can immediately soften the skin and make it fall out. Use the fresh juice from one lemon and apply it on the corn. Let it dry on its own. Repeat the process thrice a day until you see the corn come out.
Papaya
Papaya is not only a delicious fruit, but also a great home remedy for corns on feet. The enzymes in the fruit are going to eliminate the dead and hard skin on the surface of the foot. At the same time, it speeds up the healing process and eases the discomfort and the pain. Use raw papaya and grate it so as to extract the juice. Use a cotton ball to apply this fresh juice on your corn. Apply a bandage and let it cure over the night. Exfoliate the skin with a pumice stone in the morning. Repeat this home remedy every day until you notice the result you want.
Pineapple
Another exotic fruit that is also a powerful home remedy is the pineapple. For example, when it comes to treating corns, the pineapple peel is extremely beneficial. Remove the peel from a pineapple and cut a small piece of it. Apply it with the inner part over the affected area and put a bandage over it. Put on a sock and don’t remove the bandage until the morning. Repeat this effective home remedy until you notice the positive results.
There are numerous other home remedies for corns on feet, some of the most efficient being: turmeric, licorice, turpentine oil, garlic or baking soda.
