Carrots and Honey – Recipe for Improving Eyesight
There is an old saying that goes like this: who wants to be forever young must eat 2 raw carrots per day. The recent studies bring more information and details regarding the extraordinary benefits that carrots have on our health. They boost eyesight, reduce cholesterol levels, cleanse the liver and prevent cancer.
Carrots and Honey – Recipe
For this simple recipe, you will need the following ingredients:
– Carrots (1/2 kg)
– Lemons (1/2 kg)
– Honey
Preparation
Remove the peel from the carrot and grate the vegetable. Put the carrot in a large glass jar and add the chopped lemon. Pour the honey over the mixture to fill the jar. Make sure the honey covers the lemon and the carrots so that they can soak. Close the jar tightly and keep it in the fridge. Let it soak for 10 days, then use the mixture as a remedy.
Administration
Take 1 teaspoon of the solution 3 times per day. Make sure to take it 30 minutes before mealtime. During the treatment, you must not consume alcohol. A much simpler and practical way to improve your eyesight is to drink one glass of carrot juice with 2 teaspoons of honey per day. Eating 1 grated carrot mixed with honey is also extremely healthy and useful.
Effects
Since childhood, we have been forced to eat vegetables, especially carrots as they are good for the eyesight. This advice is supported by numerous studies proving exactly this. Carrots are not able to cure various eye conditions, but they can prevent numerous eye problems caused by vitamin A deficiency. Our body will transform the beta-carotene from the carrots in vitamin A, an essential antioxidant that maintains the eyes’ health. When consumed regularly, carrots can prevent cataracts, macular degeneration and night blindness (or the inability to adapt to night vision).
So, use the carrot and honey remedy on a regular basis so as to have a perfect eyesight.
