Carrot Face Mask – An Affordable Miracle for a Perfect Skin

Carrot Face Mask – Recipe 1

Anytime we need a perfect look, all we have to do is to prepare a carrot mask which can make miracles with wrinkled, dull and dried skin.

Ingredients

– 1 big carrot

– 1 whisked egg white or 2 spoons of honey

Peel the carrot and then grate it into small pieces. You can also use an apple or a banana. According to aestheticians, both apple and banana have essential moisturizing properties for the skin. When we offer the needed humidity to the skin, an effect of stretching and fading of the skin lines is produced.

Add the whisked egg white or the honey over the grated carrot and mix them well.  The egg white and the honey tighten the skin and make it firmer. For a short period of time, the wrinkles disappear because they are faded significantly. If the mix seems too thick, add some water in order to thin it.

After you wash your face, apply the mask with your fingertips or by using a wad. Avoid putting the mask too close to the eyes.  Relax yourself and let the mask dry. At the end, rinse with warm water and wad gently the skin with a soft towel.

Throw the rest of the mix, because the ingredients oxidize and they cannot be used anymore.

Carrot Face Mask – Recipe 2

Ingredients

– 1 carrot

– 1 spoon of olive oil

Boil the carrot and then mash it in a bowl. When it is cold, add the olive oil and homogenize them. Apply the mask on a clean face and leave it on for 20 minutes. Rinse well with warm water.

Effects

The carrots are miraculous for the skin because they have anti-aging properties. They contain antioxidants, such as beta-carotene, lutein and lycopene which fight off the destructive effects of free radicals on the body cells and slow down the aging process.

Carrots moisturize the skin due to vitamin A (428% per portion) which stimulates the cells’ growth and their regeneration.

Carrots fight against acne, due to the zinc content that cleans the face. They also have antiseptic properties that clean the face and eliminate the bacteria and other harmful microorganisms.
